Auth cost calculator

The per-user rate after the free tier, and the per-connection price of SSO.

Everything below scales from this.

One per customer who wants SAML.

Ordered by monthly cost at the usage above, on the cheapest plan of each service that can carry it. Set SSO connections above zero and the ordering changes.

SSO is the line item that turns a $25 auth bill into a $400 one, and it is the reason B2B products end up on a different provider than consumer ones. It is priced per connection by nearly everyone, so the ordering above is only stable while that field is zero.

Why some rows say not published

Auth0 publishes $35/mo at 500 monthly active users and then moves the rest of the scale behind an interactive slider. Stytch is free to 10,000 users and produces the overage rate only inside its calculator widget. Neither figure is on the page as text, so neither is guessed here. That is a real property of those products: you cannot find out what they cost without talking to them.

Better Auth prices at zero at every scale, and that is not a trick — it is a library, not a service, so the users live in the database you were already paying for. The cost is real but it appears on the database line, and it is paid in maintenance rather than dollars.
